Frog on the Bog is a creative and unique gift store in Wells, BC

We have a fabulous selection of gifts and clothing that are specific to the Cariboo, and which celebrate our two greatest assests: our amazingly rich and diverse environment, and our gold rush history.

Besides being fun to say, our store is named after an environmental monitor. Frogs have been given the title of environmental signposts for a clean and healthy ecology, and we try to celebrate that with our store. Many of our products support wildlife research and rehabilitation, (like our Kermode Bear footprints which support preservation of the "White Bear" in British Columbia, and our Barkerville Whistle-Pigs, which support Marmot preservation projects on Vancouver Island.)

We also donate proceeds from items and events to the Friends of Barkerville, a non-profit organization that supports Historical Preservation projects in Barkerville, and the surrounding region

We are both a source of information about the region, hiking and events, and also the local Ticketmaster for Sunset Theatre, Theatre Royal, Island Mountain School of the Arts, Artswells Festival of All Things Art, Barkerville day-passes, and other special events.

To top it all off, we sell some of the absolute best coffee in the Cariboo, and support it with fresh baking, wraps, and other items, and offer the only wireless Internet service in the region.
